Bringing a bit of Sweden to Australia
Swede turned Sydneysider Sara Lundgren, has a strong passion for interior design. Since moving to Australia, her frustration at the difficulty of finding unique homewares to complete her home, drove her to create and sell timeless homewares.
In 2012, Zakkia Homewares was born. Initially beginning with knobs and hooks, the company has since grown into a much larger and diverse homewares range – producing two homewares collections annually.
Room to grow
As their first ecommerce venture, Zakkia were looking for a platform that was flexible and able to grow with their business.
Flexibility around managing different customer groups in particular, was something that was important to them. “We needed a solution that allowed us to tailor content, pricing and offers to unique customer groups,” said Emma.
One of the other challenges was the integration of their shipping and logistics systems with an ecommerce platform. With the Neto platform, Zakkia were able to create their own ecommerce ecosystem and change it as they saw fit.

We have also integrated a number of our social networks and are currently working on plugging in our accounting and email marketing systems as well.”
