Neto
The holiday season is fast approaching, and over the next few weeks we'll announce some new initiatives to help you have the best holiday season yet with Neto.
Stay tuned to this blog post for all our product updates as we prepare for the holiday season.
When it comes to online shopping, milliseconds matter. Research shows that every 1-second increase in page speed can increase sales by as much as 10%. That’s why we are working to further improve page-load speed and performance as well as provide tips and tricks to optimize what you have already built.
Here’s what we’ve just released to enhance storefront speed:
We’re excited to announce that you can now upload WebP images for your products! This new format brings better compression and quality, making your product images load faster and look even sharper. This is an important enhancement for improving mobile page speed, so we recommend that Neto retailers consider WebP as their primary format for uploading images.
We’ve made (and are continuing to make) several enhancements to Neto’s core platform that improve page-speed performance, including how Javascript is considered in queries, cache logic when product pages are updated, and much more. In many cases, page speed performance has increased over 50% on desktop sessions since these updates were deployed. We will continue to roll out updates to improve page speed performance in future releases.
We want to help Neto customers significantly increase their checkout conversion rates this holiday season. We're working on updates to improve checkout conversion rates and customizations for your checkout flow.
We’ve released updates to checkout settings and added new options, so you can convert more shoppers through checkout:
We’ve revamped the default checkout settings for all accounts to streamline the process and remove unnecessary steps. These updates ensure a faster and more seamless experience for your customers. Learn more about these checkout settings here.
To help avoid unwanted shipping method selections, we’ve added a setting that prevents automatically selecting a default shipping option at checkout. This feature, released on September 27, 2024, reduces the chances of shoppers accidentally picking the wrong shipping method.
We’ve made checkout even smoother by allowing customers to agree to your terms and conditions simply by placing their order—no more checkboxes required. This update aligns with the latest ecommerce trends and best practices, released on September 27, 2024.
We’ve improved our integration with Stripe payments, including fixes to Google Pay and Apple Pay, significantly boosting the reliability of these popular payment options—just in time for the holiday shopping rush.
Over the past few months, we’ve been improving the reliability of PayPal checkout, making sure your customers can complete their purchases without a hitch.
We’ve resolved an issue with Stripe’s "uncaptured" payments, particularly for Afterpay users, enhancing reliability and improving overall customer satisfaction. The fix is currently being monitored to ensure it’s working as expected.
We know that saving time and getting your orders packed and shipped quickly is always important, and even more so during the busy holiday season. In the weeks ahead, we’ll share what we’re doing to ensure our customers are prepared to sell more at scale.
